    Greetings from sunny Florida,

    It's that time again.

We're preparing for our next release.
Sound clips are now up for CIT04 - MONTA "Message": www.citrona.net

Aside from two outstanding original tracks written and produced by
Monta, there's been a lot of time and effort involved in this project as
a whole. With that said, we feel it's our strongest release to date.

    M O N T A - "Message" EP 12"
With remixes by Lars Behrenroth and Greg Long.

Release set for August 2003 exclusively through Groove Distribution.

** NOTE: We're slowly making adjustments/additions to the web site so
return soon for more information on MONTA and their forthcoming release
    on Citrona.

** "The First Floor Brothers" EP has sold out but is being re-pressed
and should be available within the next few weeks via Groove
    Distribution.

    ** Coming this winter: C A N T O N 12"
    Greg Long debuts as Canton.

    Enjoy the clips,

    -C.

"Blunted jazz, music for cinema, source of soul, beautiful landscapes,
    dubbed-out broken beats, post-rock..."

Their music is a story of brothers working it out as brothers do best.

Dedric Moore and Delaney Moore are the manipulators of Monta’s sound.
The pair wants to share their passion for dub, jazz, ambient and
    abstract funk.

Monta has set out on a mission to explore these ideas further with the
mindset that everything is open for inclusion in their musical
    collection.

Monta have also set a goal to ignore the urge to "move the dancefloor"
and make music purely for the listening experience.

Monta have been producing under that moniker since 1999. Before that,
both members were part of many electronic outfits here in Kansas City
since 1995. They cut their teeth playing live shows at the local rock
and electronica clubs before buckling down as primarily a studio band
and taking Monta to stereophonic bliss.
