    Greetings,

As promised last week, tonight we feature the first of three mix sets
from whatmusic.com's Charlie Leach, who has been responsible for
reissuing some of the coolest (and rarest) Brazilian, Latin and jazz
titles anywhere. The jazz set will kick off the series and I know
you'll be blown away by the selection. For more info on some of the
music you'll be hearing, check out www.whatmusic.com for the full
    catalog and sound samples.

This past Thursday, I went to a screening of Mayor Of The Sunset
Strip - a documentary on the life of KROQ DJ Rodney Bingenheimer.
It's very funny, very sad and chock full of guest appearances from a
gazillion musicians, including Cher, X, Joan Jett, David Bowie,
Coldplay, Nancy Sinatra, Phil Spector, Courtney Love and many others.
It's a great rock & roll movie and is opening in select cities around
the country. Don't miss it when it comes to a theater near you (Bay
area residents can catch it at the Lumiere in SF, and the Act I & II
    in Berkeley beginning April 9th).

Some of the new sounds tonight include a dope new disc from Rodney
Hunter that's funky, soulful and on the G-Stone label. There's also
music from Boom-Bip, Minus 8 and Squarepusher, along with tickets for
the Nicola Conte gig this weekend.

    I hope you'll join me!

    Ciao for now,
    David
