Hi Rich,
I don't think splitting the list up into separate communities is the way to
generate more discussion. The best way is simply to initiate a thread
yourself on whatever topic that currently interests you. Others will chime
in when they have something to contribute.
Speaking personally, I find I am less likely to start a new thread these
days because of the fact that I am at the computer 8 hours a day at work,
then I get home and have 100+ spams to clear out of my personal mailbox
before I can even think of posting to the list. By that time, I am ready to
do just about anything other than look at a computer screen. ;-) However,
that doesn't mean I wouldn't participate in a discussion if it came up. Like
this one, for instance...
