    Exactly... I was trying to explain how syncopation is what makes a beat
    interesting and how "ancient tribal" rhythms must contain some natural
    syncopation. They maintain that the old "tribal sounds" were straight 4:4

    ps Peter... we know nothing is cut and dry and one genre is better that the
    other- try explaining that to a bunch of candy ravers.
