    Kevin,

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us.
This was quite inspirational for me.
A number of people (including yourself) have worked quite hard on this event and bringing it
    to fruition.
There have also been a significant number of AZZ HOLES that I have encountered along the way.
SOME HAVE EVEN ATTEMPTED TO PROFIT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OPEN UP MY HEART FOUNDATION

(The "contributions" OF THESE BLOODSUCKAS have been duly noted and will be FULLY & PUBLICLY
DOCUMENTED FAR AND WIDE, IT IS OUR OBLIGATION TO DO SO. WE ALWAYS DO SO WHEN IT CONCERNS OUR
    HISTORY)

For me it's going to get started in just 2 days when Rio Soul arrives in town.

This whole event is going to be AWESOME.
The enormity of it all has only begun to hit me recently over the past few weeks because we
have really been hitting the street here in New Jersey, New York and Philly getting the word
out and communicating with people about the Convention "up close and personal". I can tell
you for a fact that in talking with people one on one, that they are responding and responding
on an emotional level. I have been talking to folks up and down the east coast of the United
States via telephone when they call in for information and they almost have a sound of
desperation in their voices as they describe what they are going to do in order to participate
in the Seminars and meeting the artists.

When I explain to people that we are doing this in order to give the artists a forum for their
current music and their lifetime of accomplishments they get juiced up.

We often here people make the following statement during February each year..

"Black History Month should be celebrated on a 24/7/365 basis..."

A lot of folks say it

    WE LIVE THAT STATEMENT
AND WE AREN'T ASHAMED OF IT
IT'S THE WAY WE WERE RAISED

And even though we realize that in today's world there are those who weren't raised that
    way...
    (we ain't mad at them)

In fact we use this as an opportunity to take em to school, regardless of their age.
That's because one in NEVER too old to learn.

    Kevin, you are absolutely correct.

SOUL-PATROL IS GOING TO MAKE SOME HISTORY ON JULY 30-31 IN WILLINGBORO, NJ

The opportunity to make history is something that each one of us has a chance to do EVERY DAMN
    DAY.

I fully realize that in these trying days and times we live in, that it's NOT a popular thing
to go around celebrating Black History, but we don't really care about winning any damn
    "popularity contests"

We are just trying to do our fair share to make sure that OUR CHILDREN indeed have a culture
to take forward into the future...
Thank you Kevin for helping us all to understand the true context under which we are indeed
    operating
