So, my biggest problem tonight is how to deal with the abundance of
tickets to give away to upcoming shows. From the fine folks at
SFJazz, we're enabling listeners to attend upcoming performances by
Dave Douglas, Jessica Wiliiams, Sex Mob (at MOMA!), Jimmy McGriff, a
3-D presentation of "Creature From The Black Lagoon" with live
accompaniment by the Jazz Passengers and next week's Norwegian
showcase featuring Jaga Jazzist and Supersilent. There's also Dub
Mission's Halloween show starring Heavyweight Dub Champion and Sly &
Robbie's 25th anniversary tour featuring Tony Rebel and Half Pint,
    Wednesday at the Independent. Yikes!

As for music, there are new albums from Machinedrum, Supersilent,
Sylvie Mars & Hal9000, Jan Garbarek and Cabaret Noir, along with
singles from J.Boogie's Dubtronic Science, Delgui, Isa and more....I
    hope you'll join me!

Back to tickets for a moment...since we have quite a few for the Jaga
Jazzist / Supersilent show at the Great American Music Hall on
November 4th, I'd like to offer a few of them to our mailing list
subscribers. Send me an e-mail explaining why: 1) you deserve to win
a pair of passes to the show, or 2) what you like most about
FreeFall. Two of the most creative answers will score those passes.
DEADLINE IS NEXT TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2. Send your entries to:
freefall_at_pacbell.net and put "Jaga Contest" in the Subject line.

And for more info on upcoming SFJazz events go to: http://www.sfjazz.org.

I'm off to listen to more tunes.....ciao for now!
    David
