    Howdy,

I just returned from a screening of King Kong and you'll be happy to
hear that it's everything it's cracked up to be. Peter Jackson has
paid homage to the original 1933 production (including recreating the
streets of New York using some fabulous CGI), and updating the story
just enough to make it fresh. The creatures of Skull Island (and the
natives) are both menacing and creepy and the evolving relationship
between Naomi Watts and the ape are genuinely touching. Just remember
to hit the rest room before the movie starts - it's a full three
    hours long.

I'm happy to announce that we have a new online syndication partner:
Dance&Soul (www.danceandsoul.com) based out of Singapore. Shows are
updated only once a month, but are available on demand, meaning that
you can hear FreeFall from the beginning, every time you click
through. A big up to Kaye and Dean for making it possible!

The end of the year is nearly upon us, but there are still a few new
albums coming in under the wire. Amsterdam's Music For Speakers label
has just released the second effort from Strange Attractor and it's a
beaut - running the gamut from electro-pop, to jungle, to dark,
new-wave-y melodies, thanks to another guest appearance by Edward
Ka-Spel from the Legendary Pink Dots. There's also experimental
hip-hop from The Considerate Builders Scheme, steaming Afro-funk from
The Budos Band (on the Daptone label), French electronica from Margo
and a couple of other goodies as well.

There will also be more two-disc sets of the Impulsive! Remixed /
Unmixed collections to give away, so be sure to tune in for your
chance to win, if you live anywhere in the continental U.S.

I'll have more details next week on our upcoming Best of 2005
    extravaganza, but until then.....

    Ciao for now,
    David
