some finds

I bought a couple of great 45s lately by bands I have never heard of and I was
wondering if some of you on the rare groove side of things could help me out
with some info:

1) "Soul Makossa" by Afrique. I think this song was recorded by someone else
and also sampled by someone, but I don't know anything beyond that. A great
piece of serious funky jazz. Does anyone know anything about Afrique?

2) "Let's Do the Latin Hustle" by Eddie Brennon. This is a real oddity because
it is more funk than disco, but the title tells me that it was released to
appeal to that scene. Does anyone know anything about this guy?
