can't help you out w/info on afrique (never heard of 'em), but i CAN tell you
that "soul makossa" was written & performed by manu dibango (the lion of
cameroon) in the 70s. he recently re-recorded it on an album called
"wakafrica". there's a track by him on "rebirth of cool too" featuring mc
mello (a great mc w/an english accent) called "senge abele". it's from an
album called "polysonik" that's pretty cool.
