The group is Pleasure and "Joyous" is the title cut of their 1976 (?)
album. They were an 8-piece group from Oregon, I believe, who were taken
under the wing of Wayne Henderson, the trombonist from the jazz group the
Crusaders. They released a number of albums from around 1975 to the early
80s. Most of their work was on Fantasy/Prestige. Besides "Joyous," their
big hit was "Glide" from the 1979 album Future Now. I have this album and
Accept No Substitutes (1977). If you want more info on them, e-me.
