It was suggested about a year ago, and we all got excited, discussed
names, artwork and the whole deal, and some of us composed tracks and
submitted them. But, it then sort of fizzled out.

James in the UK (sorry, but I've lost his e-mail address, and I'm not
even sure if he's still on the list) was putting it together (and still
is, as far as I know), but it seemed to take a very long time, and the
lack of deadlines, updates, and on-going list discussion about it,
eventually meant that the only people who seemed to be interested in it
were those who contributed tracks.

I, for one, would be more than happy to see another attempt at it, but I
think one *very* important thing to do is to keep the interest up. And
the suggestion of deadlines and a WWW page with regular progress
updates, and hopefully on-going discussion should see it's survival.

*But*, as I said, last I heard (about 4 weeks ago), despite most
people's assumption that the project had died, James was putting the
finishing touches on the original. And, I believe he's put a fair bit of
work into it.

So, what do we do if this is the case? I believe the first one was
designed to be *by* the list members, *for* the list members, with no
real plans to try to get it out there. So, maybe there is room for two.
One as our own private little thing, and the new one as a larger
project.

Marc.
