Tonite, around 10-ish, I was standing at the platform's edge, as usual,
dangling one blue-polished toe, blasting ear goggles to Alex Reece &
Goldie,
basically minding me own business.
* Suddenly* I was approached by an African American woman.
" Is that Victoria's Secret? "
Jesus Christ !
Were my bra straps showing ?
Was there some sort of subliminal msg-ing stamped on my face,
that I myself was unaware of ?
Warily, I asked, in a bit of a piqued tone,
" Huh ? "
" Your perfume, it's Victoria's Secret, isn't it? "
Oh ! Duh !
" Ummm...nope, it's Body Shop's Fuzzy Peachy something."
Whew ! Life in the city can be tough.
And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...
