Actually Zap Mama is no single person but a group of pan-african women
doing acapella-style (but usaually with music) sining in numerous
languages. Sally Nyolo is a former member of the group, for those of you
who know who she is..
They record on Luaka Bop, a great label that has also released records
by artists such as Os Mutantes and Cornershop and great comps of "world
music" (or whatever you want to call it).
