STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au/index2.html (see below for times)

    Hello all

If you tuned in last week you would have had the opportunity to hear some
interesting sounds and talk with 2 DJs that have made a rapid mark on the
house scene in Melbourne and look set to do the same thing internationally
very soon. As well as DJing, Ant J Steep and Angela Maison produce music as
the Little Beasties, with Ange also doing the vocals. Now signed to Luke
Solomon's UK label, Music For Freaks, their first single is out very soon
and they are in the process of working on a debut album for the label,
including some exciting vocal collaborations. Right now, you can find Mako's
intricate remix of their "Digitise Me" on Simon Caldwell's "Mixed Business"
compilation and their own remix of the Plastic Head Band on Odori. If you're
in Melbourne, you can catch their night The Slap Shack every Saturday at
    Honkytonks.

As if Christmas isn't enough, I've also been spending this week trying to
work out what to play in my Best of 2003 show this Friday. Currently I've
narrowed it down to about 5 hours of music. More to do ...

I hope all of you have an enjoyable Christmas, and if you're still stuck for
a present, be nice and get someone a copy of Erykah Badu's "Worldwide
    Underground" album.

    until then
    Ennio Styles
