    oh my god!!!! first of all, tell them that using the word "tribal" in reference
    to anything that didn't come from an actual tribe, is ignorant and racist and
    doesn't decribe anything except the attitudes and prejudices of the people
    saying it.

    Next, cousin cockroach, mark force, nubian mindz, nu era, jazzanova, seiji,
    domu, Titonton (heh, try to get the techno heads to speak ill of the talented
    Mr. Duvante), DKD (speak of the devil), Carl Craig/Recloose, etc etc etc. That
    said, although the boom boom gets to me after a bit, there is some really super
    duper intricate and crushing techno to be had.

    Tell them syncoaption is where it's at and anyone who doesn't think so just
    can't keep up will millenia of complex rhythmic traditions. But be reassuring
    that there is hope for them and that you will furnish them with a cd of remedial
    materials for their personal edification.
