just saw on my CD sleeve that irma has their own site - http://www.irma.it.
they are distributed by flying records and as for bellissima, try
www.atom.co.up/INDIES/bellissima/bellissima.html.

irma's releases "juice" and "jungle jazz" were also compilations worth
mentioning. juice features bossa nostra, jetsofunk, man sueto among
others. though it is difficult to ascertain the fruits amongst the
tremendous scores of jungle compilations, "jungle jazz" which has trax from
wax doctor, alex reece, the ballistic brothers, photek, etc. is a gem.

The latest Kruder and Dorfmeister release is a DJ KICKS mix CD,
one of the better entries in the series.

The Bellissima artists have mostly defected to a new label, Idyllic.
I'm sure Ben List, our man in Japan, will give you most of the details
on this.

The Irma label is going strong. They've started a new sublabel
called Irma La Douce that is the bees knees, from what I've heard
so far. Their first few releases are all compilations:

* FRIENDS FROM RIO (reissue of the Far Out release)
* BOSSA BEACH (latin jazz)
* WHO'S THAT SOUL? (soul music)
* MO' PLEN 2000 (Italian movie soundtracks)
* TRIP HOP SHOP (trip hop)

I've also been enjoying the two comps in their GROOVY series
of jazz dance classics from the 70's to the 90's.
