After getting beyond being pissed about no multimedia portion on an OM
records release, I finally got around and listened to the Terra Deva.
Once you get beyond the first song (I hate the first song, "Rain Rays"),
the album is excellent. I've been listening to this and the new album by
Rachid at least twice daily while stuff like the new Maxwell and N'Dea are
in my probably won't listen to this stack ever again.

If you have a chance to browse the record at a listening station, I'd
check out in particular "Over It," "Pulled Apart" (the title cut), and
"Gratify." At first I thought her voice was a little too breathy and eager,
but once you get into the album it really works against the
drum and bass stuff on the album. Her version of "Speak Low" is a great
interpretation of the song as well.

What did she do with Bugs? Sung on one song or most of the songs?
I never did pick that up. Is it good?

>PS-- Anyone heard Terra Deva's new record? How's it compare to her stuff
>w/Bugs? (which is my favorite Bugs, non-coincidentally)
