    Hello everyone,

I'm new to this list, and I just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Dave, and I'm heavily into the afrobeat and brasilian thing,
funk, soul, hip hop, and the jazzy 2-step stuff. Anything with organic funky
grooves, or lots of percussion, or a nice soulful sound.

I play out a couple of times a week, and do radio as well, so I'd love to
contribute to any threads about this sort of music, and also live organic AJ
    and electronic music.

I have a live electronic group called Rhibosome based here in Australia.
We play live beats with samplers, turntables, drumkit, percussion and
effects. Our music ranges thru hip hop, house, break beat and drum n bass,
but all with big AJ, soul and funk influences.

So far, we've played alongside Coldcut, Rae & Christian, Faze Action,
Scratch Perverts, Freestylers, Norman Jay, Adam Freeland, Wiseguys, and Jose
Padilla, here in Australia. If you're interested in Rhibosome, then check
out our site, where we have reviews, photos, gallery, streaming real audio,
    and DJ charts etc:

Otherwise, does anyone know much about Asha Puthli?
I have a great version of hers of Right Down Here, in a very tasty soul-funk
mode. Does anyone know of any albums that she has done or which album this
    track is from?

Big hello to Jim (Small Change) if you're still around ?
