How about that David Arnold "Shaken & Stirred" James Bond music project?

Another album that puts me in a similar mood is Massive Attack's first one
"Blue Lines." What a tremendous trip-hop classic...

You mentioned Propellerheads so I assume you're going to get the album
"decksanddrumsandrockandroll" which would be perfect for your night.

It's always mentioned on this list (probably because it's so damn good) but
I'd highly recommend Thievery Corporations' "DJ Kicks" compilation CD on
!K7 or their great "Jet Society" comp. Very much in the mood for a night
    out in formal wear...

Here's another soundtrack that's great "City of Industry" which was
compiled by KCRW's Jason Bentley, and has a plethora of great tracks in
that dark city vein. If you can find this, I think it'd be perfect.

Finally, any of the awesome "Future Sound of Jazz" series I think would add
a great vibe to your party.

    Have fun!
