    hi everyone,

This is a quickie reminder of two special guests joining Andrew and I
tonight at Gypsy Co-op for Glide. Thanks to everyone who has come down
during our special spring series. Props and thank-you's also go out to
Freeworm, Manitoba, Paul E. Lopes, Triplet and Martino and tonight's
guests, Lex and Watershell, for all bringing us their unique vibes and
    tunes.

Here's the scoop for tonight. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the
upcoming Glide Summer Series, with lots of great guests to be announced
soon. Thanks... and enjoy the sunshine!

glide Wednesdays with DJ's Denise Benson + Andrew Allsgood
    weekly at Gypsy Co-op ~ 817 Queen St. West ~ 416.703.5069
tonight w/ guests Lex from Legion of Green Men + Watershell
lounge. dance. chill. do what'cha like. no cover. just great music.

Four years strong and running thanks to people like you, glide continues
to provide great sounds for great people in the laidback lounge /
restaurant / dancebar that is Gypsy Co-op. Tonight, two of T.O.'s
finest longtime creators of trippy, dubbed-out, eclectic 'n electric
underground sounds join us on the decks: Lex and Watershell. Join us on
this warm almost-summer evening as we collectively warm up to this
weekend's OM Festival (see OM details below).

As one half of Legion of Green Men, Lex has been working with brother
Rew for almost a full decade, offering their many fans consistently
quirky interpretations of ambient, breakbeat, dub and downtempo. With
numerous singles, pseudonyms and the albums Spatial Specific and
Floating in Shallow Water behind them, the duo has more recently turned
their attention to remixing and to even edgier sounds. Hear the results
on their brand new (and highly limited) remix-based release Incarnate
Perspective, available via their Post Contemporary label within weeks.
Come out to Glide tonight to have an advance listen as Lex mixes Legion
    tracks with other personal faves.

Jay Irwin a.k.a. Watershell has also been producing incredibly original
electronic sounds for the better part of a decade. With singles and EP's
on labels such as Interchill and Post Contemporary, Watershell has
offered us many deep, dubby downtempo, ambient and beat-heavy classics.
Look for his "Faerie Dub," out now on Interchill's Infinessence
compilation, as well as for the Watershell classic chune, "Deep Field
View," found originally as a limited 12" on the Dakini label and also on
Germany's Echo Beach label via the Kingsize Dub 6 collection. Watch for
future Watershell releases with Echo Beach.

Music begins at 10pm tonight, running until 2:30 or so in the a.m. Lex
and Watershell share the time of 11pm-1am. Don't know about you, but I
am hyped for this set! No cover so no excuse not to join us ;-)
