    interesting discussion

    I think it's OT but hey...as a music lover I'll chime in.

Juuso put it best...different strokes for different folks

I'm a certified hip-hop snob so that right there puts a twist on my view of
    this discussion since
it has little to do with the 21st music scene and more to do with radio
playlists and major labels = monopoly
    ad modern marketing tactics.

yeah the world would be boring if we all beat our heads trying to figure out
    what sample
madlib used for an EXACT duplication of a song he created

for example...take this faux discussion into consideration

    "created? you mean reworked right?
does that count as a remix? or is he just taking live instruments and
playing then to 2 inch tape and sampling them to an sp1200 and then
reconstructing the song? no wait didn't Puffy do that with the entire
Ultimate Breaks catalog? or was that a straight loop using a Gemini 12 bit
    mixer sampler?"

now if EVERYONE on the planet was trying to analyze that

mayn I think I'd shoot myself if everyone walked around with a bela legosi
is dead t shirt with monkey boots and a chain around their neck
with a button that says I love the Neptunes and a green and red and gold
    jahfakkin sweatband for their wrist

    we're obsessive sometimes I think

radio has it's issues...we know that

major record chains have their issues

    record labels have their issues

    the AJ list discusses AJ

    and I got my issues

    thanks and peace
